Glinkr is a Web 2.0 service that enables its users to produce graphical interactive maps of Web contents using a simple Javascript-enabled Web browser, to make them accessible under a variety of licences, and to include maps that are licensed under Creative Commons licenses into Web pages. Registered trademar

Glinkr is a registered trademark of Philippe Aigrain. If you operate a Web service based on Glinkr's code or a modified version of this code, you can't use in any manner the name Glinkr. To make it easier for you to use the distributed code, the name "Glinkr" has been deleted in the distributed code and into the corresponding logos.

Architecture

Glinkr is an  AJAX application comprising a Web part (Django) and a Javascript client partusing the Tooltip, Prototype, Dojo, Yahoo ui (YUI), Scriptaculous and Tabstatic libraries.

This product has been put to operational use.

Licence

This product is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence Version 3 or any later version

We draw the attention of users to the fact that any operation of a Web service based on the code involves the transmission of Javascript code from the server to the browser for execution on the end-user machine. Thus, operating a Web service based on a modified version of the distributed code triggers the obligation of distributing the modified code under its original license.

For the Prototype, Dojo, YUI, Script.aculo.us and Tabstatic libraries, the license versions used are those that are compatible with the GNU GPL. Nota : the source code of these libraries has not been modified in Glinkr.
